Dancing was a part of my life since I was little. I remember me at 10 or even younger, doing my choreographies in my tiny living room and organising all kinds of shows for my family and friends. Dancing was just making me really happy.
Over the years I followed different types of classes from hip-hop, modern dance to ball-room, traditional folk dance and I always wanted to learn and do more. Unfortunately, when I moved to Belgium I had to put aside my passion and I took a break of 5 years. After this time I can say I was lucky enough to find Body Expressive Studio.
Why did I choose to become an Instructor?
After re-discovering my love and passion for dance, I decided I wanted to share this amazing feeling I have every time I dance. I will always do my best in teaching my students how to feel free and how to express their feelings and most important to feel alive when they dance. I also promise that with every class you take, you will get a little piece of my soul with you.
I still remember the first time I stepped into the studio. I wasn’t sure I would like it but I was so excited and at the same time so afraid because I didn’t know what to expect and I didn’t want to be disappointed. Now I think back and I can only say that those concerns I had, have completely disappeared when I get to know the beautiful community we have here at Body Expressive Studio. Soon I started taking more and more classes because the time spent there has given me back the joy, happiness and passion that I had for dance. Body Expressive Studio has definitely remembered me why I started to dance in the first place.
From all the dance classes I took, CHDE was the only one who truly made me feel alive. For the first time in my life, I felt I could be myself and nobody will judge me for that. I feel powerful, confident and I can express all these feelings with my body. All of this I’ve learned it here at CHDE and thanks to Kate. She is an amazing dancer and human being who made me see and discover a lot of things about me that I didn’t know.
